Spicy Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

500g Northern Ireland minced lamb

1 small onion

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tbsp fresh ginger, coarsely grated

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

½ tsp ground cumin

½ tsp ground coriander

½ tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp mild chilli powder

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Salt and pepper

4 thick slices ciabatta bread

½ red onion, thinly sliced

4 tsp sweet chilli sauce

1 tbsp Northern Ireland crème fraîche

Method

Mix the onion, garlic, ginger, herbs and spices in a bowl.

Add the lamb and mix well. Shape into 8 burgers. Cover and chill.

Cook burgers on a health grill.

Prepare ciabatta with onion slices. Mix sweet chilli sauce and crème fraîche.

Serve the burgers on the ciabatta with chilli sauce and crème fraîche mix and homemade coleslaw.
