Teamwork! Wednesday 27th September marks World School Milk Day and the pupils of St. Matthew’s Primary School in Belfast celebrate by expressing their creativity.
The class of P3 worked together to learn more about the origins of their school milk with a colouring resource depicting a Northern Ireland dairy farm.
More than 55% of primary and special education schools across Northern Ireland receive school milk currently, according to the Dairy Council for NI.
A refreshing drink of milk at break time can help beat thirst and provide a powerful boost to meeting children’s nutrient needs. A carton of milk will provide more than half of a five-year-old child’s calcium, phosphorus and vitamin B2 requirements.
