The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland is hosting a Sports Nutrition seminar on the 10th November.
We are back ‘in person’ this year and the event will take place at W5, Odyssey, Belfast.
Professor Craig Sale from Manchester Metropolitan University will discuss diet and bone health in athletes including the role of milk and dairy foods. Conor Raleigh, University of Limerick, will look at the implications of a low carbohydrate diet for bone.
We will also have practical sports nutrition insights for football from Dr Emma Tester, Head of Nutrition at Tottenham Hotspur and Marissa Callaghan, captain of the NI Women’s Squad for Euro 2022.
The seminar will be chaired by Professor Sharon Madigan, Head of Performance Nutrition, Sport Ireland Institute.
It will begin at 5:15pm, with refreshments available from 4:30pm, and finish at approximately 7:30pm. Please download the invitation for the full programme and speaker details.
