Showcasing future stars of local sport is an important part of the Dairy Council ‘s ‘Milk It’ campaign and we’ve teamed up with local rapper Danny Houston to create a music video that brings this to life.
Featured in the video are members of Knights Wheelchair Basketball Club, dancers from Vibe Academy, performers from T13 urban sports park, members of the Northern Ireland Ladies Football Team, St Mary’s University College hurling team, cyclist Chris McGlinchey, Methodist College rugby players and Northern Ireland Karate team members.
Local farmer Alan Graham, who made headlines around the world when Rhianna chose his field to film in, also stars. The Bangor councillor opens the film by hand–milking a cow; that starts the beat for the music track…
At the Dairy Council we are huge supporters of local sport, from urban sports at T13, where much of the video was shot, to the Milk Cup.
Milk is now increasingly recognised as a natural sports drink providing hydration as well as essential nutrients, including protein for muscles and calcium for bones.
Visit the Milk It NI Facebook page – www.facebook.com/MilkItNI – to check out this latest video and keep up to date with all the Milk It NI news.
The Milk It campaign, which is jointly funded by the EU, is designed to communicate to young people about the benefits of milk as part of a healthy active lifestyle.
