The European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) hosted a webinar on 19 September with the participation of ESDN Older Adults. The webinar was supported by the European Milk Forum (EMF), which includes the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland.
Malnutrition awareness week: science to practice, EFAD 2023
The webinar, which was part of EFAD's Malnutrition Awareness Week, featured an interview with Professor David J Armstrong and Dr Sandra Iuliano about her landmark study showing that providing extra dairy foods to older people in residential care could significantly reduce fractures and falls.
The latter part of the webinar was a live discussion with Dr Sandra Iuliano, Pauline Douglas, EFAD Honorary Treasurer and Maria Armanda from ESDN Older Adults, which delved into the practical aspects of implementing this knowledge into dietetic practice.
